WHO WE ARE

BUILDING BETTER HEALTHCARE EDUCATION

We strive to make health education better for everyone in Canada. This means putting people first and building strong, lasting relationships with our partners.

The Sino-Canada International Academy for Health Studies (S-CIAHS) is a social enterprise and Canadian-based business support unit that brings together international and Canadian partners to work on joint programming, projects and initiatives that optimize education, training, workforce and practice in the field of healthcare, services and support.

The Academy seeks to strengthen the viability and sustainability of products and services designed to best meet the needs of colleges, universities, faculty members, students, health-care delivery organizations, clinicians, practitioners, health system leaders, informal caregivers and societies in general.

We seek to catalyze improvements in health systems by supporting leaders to share policy insights, identify levers for change and drive implementation. We are always looking to promote innovations that will deliver better care at home and in our communities.

We develop curriculums that integrate cutting-edge technology, innovation and research in the health sciences to better address the future needs of healthcare. We believe in progressive healthcare and progressive courses.

GLOBAL IMPACT

We continue to build an international movement of collaboration that aims to enhance health globally: this means not only elevating the status of nurses worldwide, but also influencing, educating and supporting nurses and nursing students to become leaders in their communities and workplaces.

GLOBAL EDUCATION

At S-CIAHS, we truly believe in the power of global education. We incarnate this cosmopolitan philosophy into all of our international exchange programs: they are designed to bring learners, faculties, academics and administrators, both foreign and domestic, into contact in order to generate opportunities to learn with and from each other for the betterment of their profession and their society.

Our international initiatives, like the annual Nightingale International Exchange for Nursing Excellence, feature an immense spirit of deep collaboration and professional sharing on a global scale. Such exchanges advance the global community of healthcare professionals, drive education and foster excellence in learners preparing to build a better tomorrow.

These exchanges provide the opportunity to learn from one another and build lasting relationships among healthcare and education communities. They seek to instill a passion for leadership and the ability to respond to the many global challenges that lie ahead in the world of healthcare.
